Job description

Experteer Overview As a System Administrator, you will manage and secure the DNFSB network, ensuring compliance with security guidance and authorizations. You will oversee system administration across on-premise and cloud environments, driving vulnerability remediation and secure configuration. You’ll handle backups, patch testing, and STIG compliance, while supporting migrations to approved hosting. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to maintain a resilient, compliant IT posture that enables mission delivery. This role offers impact shaping security and reliability at a federal agency. Compensation / Benefits * Achieve and maintain Authorizations to Operate (ATO) for all supported systems and applications * Ensure servers are virtualized and configurations documented * Provide system administration for apps in cloud environments and assist with hosting consolidations * Perform daily/weekly backups (on-site and off-site) for production and development servers * Test patches/upgrades and ensure adherence to STIG, CTO, and IAVA guidance * Provide problem resolution to restore degraded or mission-impacting services * Monitor applications/services and respond to performance or security issues Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field with 3 years of experience * Experience performing Automated Service Interruptions (ASIs) and STIG compliance * IAT Level II baseline certification (e.g., CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP) * Secret clearance Key requirements * Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance * Flexible Spending Accounts * Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance * Paid Time Off & Holidays * Professional Training Reimbursement * Immediate vesting in 401(k)
