Data Engineer (Grant Funded)

Experteer Overview In this role you will help build and maintain data analytics systems for the Data Discovery and Development team at the Stanley Manne Children’s Research Institute. You will enable reliable data ingestion, storage, and processing to support both operational and analytical workflows in pediatric healthcare research. By partnering with product, business analysts, and peers, you will contribute to scalable data solutions and governance practices. Compensation / Benefits * Ingest, integrate, store, and process data from multiple sources to support analytics and reporting * Perform basic data transformations and contribute to simple data models * Ensure data quality and integrity through validation and issue escalation * Monitor data pipelines and assist with troubleshooting to maintain reliability * Update metadata, catalogs, and documentation per standards * Collaborate with peers and stakeholders to enable data delivery and analytics within Agile and security guidelines * Assist with solution development and deployment, including SDLC tasks and infrastructure support * Support prioritized data projects and overall data discovery efforts Tasks * 2+ years hands-on experience in data management or data engineering * Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred * Working knowledge of modern data platforms, cloud data platforms, data warehouses, lakehouses * Experience with ETL/ELT patterns and tooling * Proficiency in SQL; exposure to Python scripting * Basic understanding of data modeling and transformation concepts * Understanding of data governance, quality, and security practices * Ability to troubleshoot defined issues with guidance and escalate when needed * Effective collaboration and communication within Agile teams * Exposure to healthcare data concepts preferred Key requirements * Medical, dental and vision insurance * 403(b) with a 5% employer match * Paid Time Off (PTO) and holidays * Paid Parental Leave * Wellbeing programs * Tuition assistance
