Experteer Overview In this Sr. Systems Engineer role you design, implement, and support complex, geographically dispersed infrastructure for a federal environment. You will manage Windows Server 2019/2022, AD, PKI, IIS, and core server roles, while also administering Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL) environments. You’ll work with high-visibility stakeholders to identify risks, dependencies, and corrective actions, delivering practical, mission-aligned solutions. Compensation / Benefits * Lead or assist in design, implementation, administration, and support of distributed NSD and data-center infrastructure * Deploy, configure, maintain, troubleshoot Windows Server 2019/2022 environments (AD, Group Policy, PKI, IIS, clustering, server roles, OS performance) * Administer and troubleshoot Linux servers (Ubuntu, RHEL) Tasks * Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain/maintain SCI access * 10+ years of proven System Administrator/IT infrastructure experience * Hands-on experience with data-center/server virtualization, storage, monitoring, backup, disaster recovery * Strong Windows Server administration (2019/2022) * Experience with AD, GPO, PKI/certificate services, clustering, IIS, core Windows Server roles * Experience with Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL) * VMware ESXi/vCenter/vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V * Enterprise storage hardware (SAN/NAS, RAID) * Familiarity with Dell/EMC, Pure Storage, HP, Nutanix or similar * Backup/recovery platforms (Veeam, Commvault) * Ability to troubleshoot multi-layer issues across OS, virtualization, hardware, storage, network * Clear communication with radio/RF personnel, Government stakeholders, and technical teams * Ability to work independently in high-visibility, mission-critical environment * Documentation skills for findings, actions, dependencies, and procedures * Security+ and VMware VCP-DCV or equivalent certifications * DoD 8140-aligned certification (e.g., Security+, Cloud+, SSCP, CASP+, CISSP) * Server+, RHCSA, Microsoft server certifications or equivalent preferred * Backup/storage/platform-specific certifications beneficial * Bachelor’s degree preferred (relevant experience may substitute) Key requirements * Health, dental, and vision insurance * 401(k) with company match * PTO and holidays * Parental Leave and dependent care * Flexible work arrangements * Professional development opportunities
