AI Platform Engineer (Google Cloud Platform)

Experteer Overview In this role you will help shape the Hartford’s AI Platform by building scalable AI/ML operations solutions for enterprise data teams. You will work with cross-functional partners to deliver end-to-end, MVPractical AI-enabled products and services. You’ll drive GenAI-enabled features, platform enhancements, and best practices that improve decision-making across actuarial, product, underwriting, and sales functions. This is a hands-on, impact-focused opportunity to evolve the organization’s AI capabilities in a collaborative, values-driven environment. Compensation / Benefits * Develop value-added features beyond core cloud capabilities and vendor tools * Research and implement GenAI algorithms and technologies * Explore and leverage AWS, GCP, and Azure to support GenAI/ML services * Enhance platform with AI/ML, agentic frameworks, and modern data technologies * Promote best practices in AI, ML, and data engineering * Architect end-to-end component-level solutions * Collaborate with Enterprise Data, Data Science, Business, Cloud Enablement, and Enterprise Architecture teams * Manage engineering tasks and optimize workflows with minimal guidance * Provide technical mentorship and career growth opportunities * Review systems-level work to align with project and business expectations Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a technical field * 8+ years building and shipping software/platform solutions for enterprises * Python programming experience (preferred) * 3+ years of Terraform experience * GCP experience with BigQuery, Cloud Functions, AI Platform, API Gateway, and GKE/Docker * Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing/ deployments, agile methodologies * Experience building scalable serverless applications on cloud platforms * Knowledge of distributed NoSQL databases and ETL technologies * Foundational understanding of NLP and deep learning * Excellent problem-solving and communication skills * Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship Key requirements * hybrid or remote work arrangement * office presence 3 days a week for near locations * base pay with potential bonuses and incentives * total compensation package including rewards and recognition
