Job description

Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
Provide I.T. related operational support to diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues including, but not limited to Server Infrastructure (Virtual/Physical), desktops, laptops, network switches, desk & cell phones, VPN, printers and other miscellaneous IT related equipment
Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
Responsible for server/SAN capacity and storage planning
Perform or delegate regular server backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
Procure, Track/ Maintain I.T. software and hardware
Develop and maintain end user training
Provide operational support for client devices including installation, image, configuration of applications and end point protection
Support operation and deployment of cybersecurity controls

Requirements

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
3-5 years of database, network administration, or system administration experience
Working knowledge of fundamental operations of relevant software, hardware and other equipment (Windows 7/8/10, Dell systems, IBM Client Access, etc.)
Basic knowledge of fundamental network design and operation including DNS, subnets, TCP/IP, IPv4 and IPv6., networked systems (network printing, firewalls, file security, unmanaged)
Working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Office, Visio, Excel, etc.)
Industry Certifications such as A+, Network+ or MCP, CCENT or AWS Certifications Preferable.
