Sr Principal C++ Software Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you will help build the next generation Palladium emulation platform at Cadence, working with a small team of expert engineers to deliver high-quality emulation products used for multi-billion gate designs. You will shape features, interfaces, and test strategies that enable reliable, scalable software in a cross-functional setting. Compensation / Benefits * Write C/C++ code to implement the emulation platform and features * Design features, flows, and interfaces for the emulation platforms with other engineers * Create functional, implementation, and test specifications for your code and features * Implement unit, integration, and system tests for your code and features * Collaborate with cross-functional teams across all aspects of Palladium Tasks * BS with a minimum of 10 years of experience OR MS with a minimum of 7 years of experience OR PhD with a minimum of 5 years of experience * Strong C++ software development experience * Distinguished C/C++ / STL programmer with collaborative mindset * Experience with data structures and algorithm design, complexity and performance tradeoffs * Linux kernel and/or device drivers experience is desirable * Experience with multi-threading programming and TCP/IP is a plus * Experience with any industry simulation or emulation products is a plus Key requirements * paid vacation * paid holidays * 401(k) plan with employer match * employee stock purchase plan * medical plan options * dental and vision plan options
