Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you will triage and debug SSD firmware failures for data center products, collaborating with Product Support Engineering to drive root-cause resolution. You’ll develop and debug firmware in C, partner with core firmware teams, and analyze performance issues to improve IOPS and throughput. The position emphasizes high-pressure problem solving and delivering customer-acceptable solutions. This is a chance to shape reliability and performance in enterprise storage at a leading memory innovator. Compensation / Benefits * Debug SSD firmware issues reported by customers and during qualifications * Develop debug firmware in C across the SSD firmware stack to accelerate root cause analysis * Collaborate with core firmware teams to drive timely issue resolution * Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize IOPS and throughput * Replicate reported issues through lab testing * Create 8D/failure analysis reports for customers * Draft product use-case technical white papers as needed Tasks * BS in computer engineering or equivalent with 10+ years of technical experience or MS with 8+ years * Proven NVMe and PCIe experience debugging complex SSD issues * SSD firmware architecture and/or validation/test experience * SSD firmware development/debug in C * Strong understanding of debug tools including PCIe and NVMe protocol analyzers * Data center/server storage knowledge * Experience with Open-Source SSD tools such as NVMe-CLI and FIO * Familiarity with Telemetry, host logs, and firmware trace logs * Excellent verbal and written English communication * Ability to travel domestically and internationally Key requirements * flexible work options * generous PTO * holiday shutdown * 401(k) matching * medical and non-medical benefits * pet insurance
