Job description

We’re looking for a hands-on, data-driven, analytical, strategic manager to help drive restaurant supply acquisition/retention strategy, success metrics, analytics, and operating mechanisms as we build our playbook for launching new restaurant products, growing share in existing markets, and entering new markets. As an individual contributor, you will have the opportunity to tap into our rich data sets and influence how we build our global restaurant supply strategy in partnership with Sales, Data Analytics, Product, Marketing, and Finance. The ideal candidate will be self-directed, have a background in analysis, be comfortable working with large datasets, and have an ability to break down complex problems to their basic elements. This is a highly visible role with exposure to senior executives, so confidence and clarity communicating to a wide variety of audiences are vital. Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Sales, Product, Marketing & Finance to define key performance indicators (KPIs), goals, trends & opportunities and drive operating mechanisms to track actuals vs. forecast
  • Collaborate with our Data Analytics team to automate dashboards that monitor performance and alert operators which actions need to be taken by whom
  • Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to senior executives as part of a monthly Supply Business Review.
  • Conduct hypothesis-driven analyses to identify and quantify supply acquisition opportunities
  • Work closely with sales, marketing & finance to assess the strategic, operational and financial implications of new ideas and opportunities and help drive effective decision-making around business trade-offs and opportunities
  • Influence decision making with senior executives

Requirements

  • BS degree in Math, Economics, Business, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related quantitative discipline
  • At least 5+ years work experience in an analytical role, ideally with 2+ years in management consulting, analytics, finance, or equivalent experience with complex data-driven initiatives
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, manipulating large data sets)
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau or MicroStrategy and a passion for learning data visualization best practices.
  • Strong slide-building, storytelling, and presentation skills (e.g., using PowerPoint or Google Slides).
  • Willing to roll up your sleeves and get hands dirty (do own models, find own data)
  • Exceptional ability to dig into raw data and surface actionable insights in support of business growth and key company strategy/roadmap decisions
  • Ability to prioritize time wisely in the face of myriad projects
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to simplify the complex
  • Strong relationship-building skills and communication skills
  • Data savvy and highly analytical with strong modeling skills
  • Self-starter with innate curiosity
  • Comfortable with ambiguity
  • Humble, not territorial, collaborative, high EQ and IQ
  • Nice-to-haves: Experience working with Sales or Sales Operations; Experience with statistical analysis and SAS/R/SPSS.
