Automation Test Engineer - Remote

Experteer Overview As an Automation Test Engineer at GDIT, you drive the modernization of enterprise software for federal courts by building and maintaining cloud-based test automation. You’ll join an agile team to shape a mission-critical Case Management Modernization program and ensure high-quality delivery through automated testing, CI/CD support, and collaboration with manual QA. You will design and execute cloud-based test strategies, configure frameworks, and validate requirements in a scalable, containerized environment. Compensation / Benefits * Evaluate system requirements for test automation and design automated test scripts * Set up and configure test automation frameworks in the cloud * Support CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with manual testers to maximize automation value * Develop and run automated tests in cloud environments * Adhere to version control and coding standards * Create test procedures to validate requirements and capabilities * Configure test environments and data sets * Apply SDLC knowledge to anticipate system complexities * Communicate effectively with stakeholders and work in an Agile/Scrum context Tasks * 5+ years of related experience in integration, regression, and system testing with automated tools * Experience writing test plans, test cases, and defect reports * Proficiency developing automated test scripts on ReactJS/NodeJS using Selenium, Playwright, Jest, Mocha, Chai, etc. * Cloud test automation framework setup in AWS/Azure environments * Automation test strategy development for cloud-based applications * API testing through gateways and cloud services * Knowledge of cloud concepts (SaaS) and containerized testing (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) * Experience with NUnit, TestNG, and test plan/procedure development * Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills * Ability to work independently and in a team within an Agile/DevSecOps culture Key requirements * comprehensive benefits and wellness packages * 401K with company match * flexible work week * paid time off * paid parental leave * military-friendly workplace
