Job description
This role leads BTâs Network Security product portfolio, covering critical services such as firewalls, DDoS protection, NAC, OT security, WAF, and micro segmentation. The Senior Manager is responsible for defining and delivering the long-term product roadmap, ensuring services remain competitive, scalable, and aligned to strategic transformation initiatives. The position combines people leadership, commercial ownership, and operational accountability, managing a team of Product Managers while overseeing a multi-million-pound investment roadmap. It requires strong stakeholder engagement across internal teams and external partners, alongside ownership of escalations, service performance, and customer outcomes. What youâll be doing
- Own and deliver the long-term roadmap for Network Security products, aligned to BTâs strategic transformation agenda
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Product Managers (7 direct reports)
- Manage a a large-scale annual CAPEX budget, ensuring effective investment across strategic and legacy product areas and manage ongoing OPEX spend.
- Drive product performance, including service quality, delivery, and in-life management across the portfolio
- Act as escalation point for customer issues, service delivery challenges, and commercial disputes
- Build and influence relationships with senior internal stakeholders and external partners
- Develop business cases and investment strategies to support growth and transformation
- Ensure adoption of best practice product management standards across the team

Requirements
- Proven experience leading and managing teams of product managers.
- Experience operating in a complex, matrix organisation.
- Prior experience working with enterprise/B2B security or cybersecurity products.
- Demonstrated experience contributing to or leading transformation programmes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior levels.
Desirable Skills / Experience
- Experience in network security domains (e.g. firewalls, DDoS, NAC, OT)
- Background in managed services (MSP/MSSP or Telco environments)
- Experience managing CAPEX/OPEX budgets and financial planning
- Commercial mindset with a focus on growth, innovation, and revenue generation
- Exposure to large-scale product portfolios with multiple service owners
