Job description

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable end-to-end data pipelines for large and complex datasets
  • Collect, process, and analyze website behavior, customer, transactional, and other business data using Airbyte, Python, and dbt
  • Write SQL-based data transformations and ensure data is clean and ready for analysis
  • Apply dimensional modeling techniques to design tables and views for an enterprise data model
  • Develop and support complex ETL infrastructure
  • Participate in the architecture and strategy for end-to-end data pipeline deployment
  • Partner with Data Platform Engineering Teams to define business logic and move data pipelines into production
  • Partner with Managers and Leads to define best practices, templates, and scalable dbt code
  • Improve the performance of existing models, pipelines, and data applications
  • Foster data governance practices, ensure data privacy and security, and document pipelines, transformations, and models
  • Understand business processes and apply this knowledge to solve problems
  • Work with end users and stakeholders to understand their needs
  • Provide insights and train users on Information Mart models, data applications, and actionable results
  • Scope, track, execute, and communicate projects in an Agile environment
  • Mentor Data Engineering team members and provide technical leadership and guidance
  • Oversee top-of-funnel metrics for at least one Business Domain and maintain consistency across models and reporting

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 3+ Years of experience in data model, data pipeline, data management, administration, and support
  • Experience building data models, data pipelines, and data warehouses
  • Advanced SQL and dbt modeling skills
  • Strong Python skills
  • Solid understanding of modern data engineering and architecture concepts
  • Knowledge of data warehousing, data pipelines, data marts, semantic layers such as Cube, and cloud data integration
  • Solid understanding of Paid Media performance metrics
  • Ability to convert marketing and business process requirements into data pipeline designs and models
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong organizational, troubleshooting, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to detect and explain data anomalies
  • Ability to explain complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Nice to have: Experience with Airbyte and Airflow, Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Streamlit, Agile methodology, and JIRA
