Staff Solutions Architect -Virtual Cloud Platform

Experteer Overview In this role you own and evolve the architecture of the SOLE virtualization platform to meet embedded software, cloud scalability, and security requirements. You will lead architectural direction, work with cross-functional teams, and provide hands-on prototyping and technical reviews. The position emphasizes delivering scalable, secure, and cost-efficient solutions across multi-region deployments and CI/CD pipelines. You will influence architecture decisions, drive governance, and mentor engineers while communicating platform value to leadership. Compensation / Benefits * Own end-to-end architecture for the SOLE virtualization platform including non-functional requirements like scalability, resiliency, cybersecurity, and cost optimization * Define target-state and reference architectures, roadmaps, and multi-region deployment strategies * Lead design for new capabilities, services, and integrations with event-driven workflows for large-scale simulation and validation * Translate business needs into architectural patterns, epics, and technical requirements with cross-functional partners * Serve as primary architecture SME for SOLE in design reviews and enterprise discussions * Provide technical oversight and design reviews ensuring security and quality standards * Stay hands-on with reference implementations, POCs, and critical-path components * Contribute code and automation for SOLE services, IaC, pipelines, and co-simulation workflows * Perform deep technical debugging and performance tuning across microservices and data paths * Define governance for architecture and ADRs to improve consistency and maintainability * Collaborate to define requirements for cloud apps, virtualization platforms, and automation that integrate with SOLE * Work with suppliers and internal teams to maintain virtualization capabilities supporting milestones * Design and integrate automation workflows for component, subsystem, and vehicle-level regression testing in cloud-based co-simulation * Lead CI/CD automation deployment for SOLE in pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) * Partner with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and compliance teams to meet security and regulatory requirements * Mentor engineers and technical leads to raise the bar for cloud architecture and test automation * Provide updates and demos to leadership and external organizations about architecture and roadmap Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline * 10+ years in cloud apps, virtualization, co-simulation, embedded software, test automation, or validation * Experience as solution architect, technical lead, or platform owner for complex cloud platforms or large-scale simulation environments * Strong programming skills in C, C++, Python, Java, SystemC, Quarkus, SpringBoot, Micronaut, CAPL * Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), containers, and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, Singularity) * Hands-on with Terraform and Bicep or similar IaC tools * Multi-region cloud design and management * Experience with messaging/event-driven tech (Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, Azure Event Hubs) * Knowledge of embedded control system test automation and co-simulation integration * Hands-on with automotive development tools (Vector CANape/CANoe, dSpace SystemDesk, VEOS, AutoVal, Intrepid Vehicle Spy) * Experience with Jenkins and GitHub Actions for automation/CI/CD * Proven track record delivering complex, high-ambiguity initiatives and guiding delivery * Excellent communication and leadership without direct authority Key requirements * medical, dental, vision benefits * Health Savings Account and Flexible Spending Accounts * retirement savings plan * paid vacation and holidays * tuition assistance * employee vehicle discounts
