AI Engineer, Manager - Tax Transformation

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead the design, development, deployment, and support of AI applications for tax services. You will manage a cross-functional engineering team, drive project execution, and ensure high-quality deliverables aligned with Deloitte’s objectives. You will partner with clients and internal stakeholders to solve complex problems with scalable Python-based solutions. This is a hands-on leadership position at the intersection of tax and advanced technology, offering meaningful impact in enterprise AI deployments. Compensation / Benefits * Define and enforce coding standards and best practices across projects * Conduct code reviews to maintain quality * Lead a team and coordinate day-to-day operations * Communicate with clients and provide team guidance * Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python applications * Optimize performance and data handling for scalable solutions * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions * Identify and resolve technical issues to ensure reliability * Create and maintain comprehensive documentation * Provide mentorship to junior developers Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a relevant discipline * 5+ years of Python application development experience * Hands-on web development with FastAPI and Pydantic * Experience with asynchronous/parallel programming using asyncio * Agile environment experience and understanding of design patterns * Proficiency in .NET Core, ASP.NET Core Web API, and SQL/NoSQL databases (Entity Framework 6+) * Ability to travel up to 10% * Active accreditations: CPA, Attorney, Enrolled Agent, or listed technology certifications (AWS, CRISC, CISSP, SAFe, CSSLP etc.) * Experience with LLMs, LangGraph, multi-modal Gen AI, RAG pipelines, vector databases, and Azure DevOps; front-end familiarity with Angular; MongoDB; NPM Key requirements *
