Job description

In this role you will execute preventive and corrective maintenance on thermal, thermal-vacuum, and vibration test systems, perform calibrations, diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults, and keep detailed maintenance records that drive equipment reliability. You will also continuously monitor the plant’s environmental controls, power quality, safety interlocks, and clean-room conditions, generating status reports that enable the production team to anticipate and mitigate potential disruptions. By providing rapid, knowledgeable support during circuit-card, module, and box-level testing, you help maintain test schedules, protect the integrity of satellite components, and contribute to the overall efficiency and quality of the manufacturing process. Your proactive stewardship of equipment health and facility readiness directly supports Lockheed Martin’s mission to deliver high-performance, flight-qualified hardware on time and to specification.

-Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a track record of diagnosing and repairing mechanical or electronic faults in a timely manner.

Desired Skills:

-A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) license - valid FAA certification demonstrating proficiency with aircraft mechanical systems and propulsion.

-PLC Systems

-Hands-on troubleshooting - ability to quickly diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues on complex test equipment.
