Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to support mission-critical operations in a secure environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining enterprise-level networks. This role requires someone who can ensure high availability, scalability, and security across classified and unclassified systems., * Design, configure, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructures (LAN, WAN, VPN, VoIP, firewalls, and routing protocols).

Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, ensuring optimal uptime and security posture.
Implement network segmentation, security controls, and compliance with DoD/IC standards.
Collaborate with systems engineers, cybersecurity teams, and program managers to ensure mission success.
Support network modernization initiatives, including cloud integration and automation.
Document network configurations, processes, and standard operating procedures.
Provide Tier III support for complex network incidents and escalations.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Technical troubleshooting support?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, Clearance Requirement: Active Full-Scope Polygraph clearance (must be valid in the State of Maryland), * Active Full-Scope Polygraph clearance (Maryland-valid, no exceptions).

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer supporting enterprise or government environments.
Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS).
Experience with network security tools and appliances (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Juniper, Firepower, IDS/IPS).
Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Splunk, Wireshark, etc.).
Familiarity with DoD/IC security standards (STIGs, RMF).
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment., * Industry certifications: CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, Security+, CISSP, or equivalent.
Experience with cloud networking (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government).
Automation/scripting knowledge (Python, Ansible).
Experience with SDN or Zero Trust network architectures.
Bonus: Experience with Apache NiFi for secure dataflow automation and integration.
