Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you will design and build scalable web and mobile applications and robust cloud infrastructure to support GM’s software platforms. You’ll work within a cross-functional team to evaluate architecture, implement synchronous and asynchronous patterns, and deliver well-tested code for both client and server components. The role combines frontend React-based work with Python backend, REST/GraphQL APIs, and distributed systems observability. You’ll contribute to scalable, data-driven solutions that enable safer, cleaner mobility. This opportunity offers hybrid work in Austin and exposure to a broad tech stack at a mission-driven automaker. Compensation / Benefits * Design and develop scalable web and mobile applications * Build robust system infrastructure and databases * Evaluate architectural trade-offs and apply design patterns * Write clean, well-documented, unit-tested code for front-end and back-end components Tasks * Bachelor degree in a relevant field and six years of experience as a Software/Systems Engineer * Six years of web development with ReactJS/HTML/CSS/JavaScript and Python * Experience with HTTP APIs including REST and GraphQL, PostgreSQL * Cloud platforms including AWS; data storage, processing, and observability in distributed systems Key requirements *
