Job description
As the Systems Integrator/Test Engineer, you will lead the planning and execution of integration and test of complex spaceflight lasers and electro-optical systems. While most of the work will be hands-on, you will also be responsible for coordinating and supporting design efforts; defining test requirements; and generating component, assembly, and system level test documentation. This will require you to apply knowledge of mechanical, electrical, fluid, and power systems to solve the wide variety of technical problems inherent in the testing of complex hardware systems. You will need strong communication skills to coordinate across multidisciplinary engineering teams to lead the critical flight integration and test efforts.
Requirements
- Experience in Systems Engineering and/or other engineering disciplines with an emphasis on test requirements development, test planning, test documentation, and systems integration, verification, and validation.
- Experience developing and/or managing system requirements.
- Experience with spaceflight, electro-optic hardware integration is a plus.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Hold or can acquire a Secret Clearance preferred
- A minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), with a Master’s Degree in engineering preferred.
Benefits & conditions
Salary Range: The annual base salary range for this position is $80,000-$150,000. This range reflects the compensation Fibertek reasonably expects to offer for this role. Placement within the range will depend on factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s experience, education and training, key skills, and relevant market and business considerations.
