Senior Cloud Security Engineer

This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with a requirement that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office., * Partner with SRE, architecture, and application teams to implement security best practices and secure-by-design principles in the cloud.

• Partners with multiple stakeholders to plan, prioritize, and improve security initiatives to mitigate risks towards HPE networking cloud environments and assets.

• Collaborates with stakeholders such as engineering, product management, other security teams, program managers and partners to ensure effective and efficient delivery, and support of cloud security engagements.

• Monitor and improve cloud security posture across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments, leveraging metrics to drive improvements and governance.

• Support compliance activities, cloud threat detection, incident response investigations, and forensic initiatives as needed.

• Represents the security engineering team in various technical forums and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced team members.

• Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the networking organization.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline.

• Typically, 7-10 years of experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, and JavaScript.

• Comfortable designing and implementing AI-assisted security controls.

• United States of America: Annual Salary USD 155,500 - 315,000 in California The listed salary range reflects base salary. Variable incentives may also be offered.”
