Job description
ALKU’s Client is prime on a mission-critical effort that provides Tier 2 software sustainment and maintenance for across a multitude of operating systems and applications that span over five main domains. This program is seeking candidates at all levels who are willing to learn, grow, lead and teach while working collaboratively with their team to support the Nation’s security. They will troubleshoot unique issues as a Tier 2 team.
Day to Day
Provide Tier 2 Linux system maintenance team for a specific mission-critical systems domain Troubleshooting network software issues Backup, restore, and recovery procedures of Linux Operating systems Perform permissions and user/ problem management Support configuration management and change management activities Support service transitions including migrations to cloud infrastructure Create, update, and enhance maintenance and operations documentation
Requirements
Sec + certification (IAT II) Enterprise management tools Unix, Linux, or Windows operating systems, RedHat, RHEL Linux-based software languages (C, C++, Python, Java, Pearl, etc.) Tier 2 Linux system administration experience knowledge of the Linux filesystem command line usage and syntax Experience supporting configuration management, change management, and service transition.
