Job description

Experteer Overview In this Lead Data Engineer II role within Deloitte’s AI & Data practice, you will steer transformative data and AI programs on the Databricks platform for clients, including government and public sector engagements. You’ll lead teams, shape strategy, and build trusted client relationships to deliver measurable business value. You’ll collaborate with executives to align data, BI, and AI/ML initiatives with client goals, focusing on governance, security, and MLOps. This is a high-impact, client-facing leadership role with broad technical influence. Compensation / Benefits * Program Leadership for large-scale data and AI initiatives on the Databricks platform * Manage and nurture client relationships, advising on holistic data and AI strategy * Lead and develop teams of data engineers, data scientists, and architects * Design complex, data-driven architectures integrating data engineering, BI, and AI/ML * Provide technical oversight on delivery, governance (Unity Catalog), security, and MLOps Tasks * Master’s or PhD in a relevant STEM field * 7+ years leading delivery of complex data and AI initiatives on Databricks * 5+ years with features such as Lakeflow Connect, Lakebase, Agent Bricks, Model Serving, Genie, Databricks Apps * 2+ years leading cross-functional teams on client engagements * 2+ years in data strategy, modern data architectures, data governance for enterprise AI on Databricks * Ability to obtain and maintain US government security clearance * Willingness to travel up to 25% Key requirements *
