Job description

As a Lead Quality Engineer at GE Aerospace, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products and processes supporting Ceramic Matrix Composites. You will be involved in various stages of the product lifecycle, from design to manufacturing and post-delivery, implementing and maintaining quality standards to meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements., * Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality management systems and procedures.

  • Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, raw materials, analysis, and the quality system.
  • Conduct inspections, tests, and audits to verify product quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Lead the investigation of escapes to determine root cause and corrective action.
  • Lead risk assessment for assigned process.
  • Analyze quality data, identify trends, and participate in root cause analysis for non-conformances.
  • Support the resolution of quality issues, including corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Submit and track non-conforming material to customer MRB’s.
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to integrate quality principles throughout the product development process.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality processes and lean methodologies.
  • Develop process capability metrics for assigned product and utilize statistical methods to develop and implement capability improvements.
  • Lead evaluation of test equipment, precision measurements, accuracy measurements, and performance testing.
  • Develop and conduct training on quality assurance concepts and tools. Write and implement quality procedures.
  • Prepare and present quality reports and metrics to internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in supplier quality management activities as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and organized quality documentation.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Training delivery?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Quality).

  • Minimum of 3 years of Quality experience, * Experience with polymer or chemical manufacturing.
  • Experience with continuous manufacturing.
  • Ability to conduct internal and external quality audits to recognize improvement opportunities and working understanding of quality management systems
  • Knowledge of AS9100 regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to apply statistical methods to analysis of engineering problems.
  • Ability to comprehend technical documentation.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
