Job description
A NATO site in Mons needs a user support technician to cover a short-term absence. It is the hands-on end of IT: the computing, printing and network devices people actually use, kept installed, configured and working. What you would be doing
- Installing, maintaining and operating the full range of computing, printing and network devices behind office automation services.
- Installing and configuring COTS software on networked and standalone workstations, and network client software on LAN workstations.
- Configuring local server software and special peripheral devices.
- Creating, maintaining and troubleshooting user access on static and mobile devices.
- Working with organisational units in Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Executing support requests and work orders, and preparing software packages for automatic deployment.
- Contributing to IT security compliance and remediation, and to the incident, change, configuration and asset management processes through the ITSM toolkit.
Requirements
- CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified IT Professional.
- Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.
- Proven experience with Active Directory objects, user accounts and permissions.
- Three years in a CIS environment, three years supporting IT users, desktop hardware and software, and three years in an IT administration role.
- A good working knowledge of PC capabilities and deployment, current operating systems and office automation software.
Practical detail
- Mons, Belgium - full time on site, regular office hours.
- 28 September to 31 December 2026, 425 hours in total.
- Graded at the equivalent of NATO G10.
- You must hold a valid clearance and be a citizen of a NATO member country with the right to work in Belgium.
