Job description

Experteer Overview As Technical Engineering Manager, you will lead the Dedicated Platform Integration team to build and operate large-scale distributed systems within the GitLab ecosystem. You will drive reliability, security, and self-service production capabilities for feature implementers, while growing a high-performing, distributed team. You’ll leverage AI to boost productivity and translate technical concepts for stakeholders. This role combines technical depth with people leadership in a remote, merit-based culture. Pay / Benefits * Guide execution with quality and speed in collaboration with Product Management * Maintain 99.99% availability for Dedicated infrastructure with automation for scalability and multi-tenant support * Provide clear direction, feedback, and automate toil while enforcing DevOps ownership * Improve owned artifacts toward self-service production for feature implementers * Recruit, onboard, and develop high-performing team members * Model best practices in incident management, drive fast resolutions, and codify learnings for GitLab * Adopt data-driven prioritization, quantify impact, and manage risk and technical debt, including AI-driven concept demonstrations for stakeholders Tasks * Proven track record building and owning large-scale distributed services * Experience delivering services with four-nines (99.99%) SLOs * Experience leveraging AI tooling to boost team productivity * History of building and managing high-performing, accountable team cultures * Ability to drive complex projects to completion without a dedicated TPM * Experience leading distributed and remote teams Key requirements * Flexible Paid Time Off * Team Member Resource Groups * Equity Compensation & Employee Stock Purchase Plan * Growth and Development Fund * Parental Leave
