Experteer Overview As a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, you will hands-on troubleshoot and operate electrical and mechanical systems in AWS data centers. You’ll contribute to a safe, reliable, and cost-efficient infrastructure by monitoring equipment, addressing issues, and coordinating with contractors. The role sits within Infrastructure Operations, supporting world-scale uptime and safety culture. This is a hands-on role with exposure to critical power and climate control systems, offering meaningful impact in a leading cloud environment. Pay / Benefits * Follow and uphold top safety standards and drive a strong safety culture across the facility * Operate and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment (UPS, Switchgear, ATS, Diesel Generators, Chillers, HVAC, VFDs, Transformers) and troubleshoot within SLAs * Take daily operational readings (temperatures, voltages, currents) and perform routine rounds/logging * Supervise contractors performing servicing or preventive maintenance * Lead safety initiatives and remediation in collaboration with other teams Tasks * Knowledge of mechanical systems (Mechanical, HVAC, Controls) * City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent * Understanding of key electrical competencies and infrastructure like chillers, generator systems, and fan controls Key requirements * inclusive culture * mentorship & career growth * work-life balance * flexible working culture
