Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you will contribute to M-Star, a GPU-native multiphysics CFD solver, to deliver high-fidelity predictive simulations for industrial processes. You will work on solver architecture, algorithms and GPU acceleration, collaborating with users and support engineers to keep the product scientifically rigorous and practically useful. You translate cutting-edge numerical methods into a robust software product and apply them to turbulent, multiphase and reactive flows. This position offers impact across industries through scalable, high-performance computing and mechanistic transport physics. Pay / Benefits * Develop and maintain M-Star’s fluid dynamics solver, add features, implement algorithms and validate results * Translate academic numerical methods into a high-performance software product * Model a range of physics including fluid dynamics, multiphase flows and heat transfer * Implement meshing and data structures optimized for GPU architectures in distributed memory * Collaborate with support engineers and users to tailor the software to needs * Conduct validation studies and present results at conferences Tasks * Expertise with Lattice Boltzmann Methods (LBM) for fluid simulation * Background in numerical methods for transport physics (fluid dynamics, advection-diffusion, particle mechanics, or heat transfer) * High-performance physics code development using parallel computing in shared and distributed memory systems * Knowledge of the Discrete Element Method (DEM) for particle mechanics * Specialization in numerical methods for multiphase modeling of liquid-liquid and gas-liquid systems * Algorithms for computational geometry including structured/unstructured meshing, 3D search, and mesh refinement * Understanding of GPU architectures and CUDA toolkit * MPI programming for multi-GPU code development * Experience on a large multiphysics solver Key requirements * health and wellness benefits * hybrid by default work mode * global mobility opportunities * merit-based hiring * secure and supportive culture * industry leadership benefits
