Requirements

We are seeking a talented React Native Engineer to join a fast-growing and innovative fintech organisation. The position is ideal for a React Native Engineer who wants to remain hands-on and play a critical role in advancing the mobile platform. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and software engineers to create a seamless, user-centric mobile experience for both iOS and Android platforms. The role offers excellent personal growth opportunities in a high-impact, fast-paced environment.As a React Native Engineer, you will take responsibility for designing, developing, and implementing new features that will enhance the user experience of a unique SaaS platform. You’ll optimise performance, integrate with backend services, and ensure high-quality code delivery. Your contribution will be key to scaling the mobile app, driving product enhancements, and improving the overall user experience.In this role, you will develop and implement new features in our React Native mobile application for iOS and Android, collaborating with product managers and designers to translate requirements into scalable and maintainable code. You’ll be responsible for optimising the app’s performance, reliability, and responsiveness across different devices and platforms. You’ll also work closely with backend engineers to integrate RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless data flow between the mobile app and backend services. Additionally, you will conduct thorough testing, debugging, and code reviews to ensure the app is stable and performs well. In collaboration with designers, you will implement pixel-perfect UI designs, ensuring the best possible user experience. Furthermore, you will participate in agile development processes, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.Required Skills & Qualifications:Proven experience as a React Native Engineer with 3+ years of mobile development experience in React Native, working on both iOS and Android apps.Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and mobile development frameworks.Solid understanding of mobile architecture, design patterns, and best practices.Experience integrating mobile apps with RESTful APIs and collaborating with backend engineers.Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps and writing clean, maintainable code.Strong experience working in an agile environment (Scrum/Kanban).Bonus Points:Experience with Redux, GraphQL, or other state management libraries.Background working with SaaS or FinTech applications.Familiarity with mobile testing frameworks like Jest or Detox.Experience with cloud services and mobile deployment pipelines.Location: Hybrid (2 days per week onsite in London)
