Senior BI Developer

Experteer Overview As Senior BI Developer, you will build production-grade analytics that translate business demand into measurable value. You will translate requirements into scalable Power BI and data solutions to improve decision quality and shorten time-to-insight. You’ll balance day-to-day reporting with forward-looking analytics, including AI-assisted methods that enhance performance. You will set technical standards, mentor colleagues, and contribute to a culture of bold, curious, and impactful analytics. Pay / Benefits * Delivery of analytics products from prototype to production * Develop scalable data pipelines and models to enable trusted reporting * Create reusable datasets and dashboards to reduce change costs * Define requirements in business outcomes for actionable insights * Drive adoption of products to inform decisions and reduce offline analysis * Maintain reliable day-to-day reporting (BAU) * Improve delivery speed through automation, standardisation and DevOps * Develop forward-looking analytics including predictive/AI-assisted analytics * Provide technical leadership and mentor junior developers Tasks * BSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics or related discipline or relevant professional experience * CII qualification or working towards it (desirable) * Strong communication to translate technical concepts to business insight * Experience delivering data/analytics in agile environments with senior autonomy * Advanced Power BI capability (semantic modelling, DAX, dataflows) and data-visualisation expertise * Strong SQL and data modelling skills for scalable, performant solutions * Experience with modern data platforms (Databricks lakehouse, Azure ecosystem) * Ability to build trusted, well-governed datasets with data-quality practices * Proactive delivery mindset managing priorities and stakeholder expectations * Understanding of predictive analytics, statistical modelling or ML concepts * Insurance or financial services experience (desirable) Key requirements *
