Chief Technology Officer

Experteer Overview As CTO, you lead AmeriSave’s Enterprise Technology & AI organization, securing reliability, security, and scale for the digital mortgage platform. You will shape the technology roadmap, own Azure-based infrastructure and security posture, and develop engineering talent across multiple product teams. Your role combines hands-on technical leadership with executive influence to align tech strategy with business goals. You’ll drive AI initiatives and ensure governance with risk and compliance, delivering a high-performing, secure, customer-centric platform at scale. Compensation / Benefits * Lead the software engineering organization, establishing standards, architecture direction, and delivery cadence across product and platform teams. * Own Azure cloud infrastructure and SQL Server environments, including cost management and long-term platform strategy. * Ensure high system uptime and reliability (high 99.99%+) through monitoring, incident response, and root-cause analysis. * Own information security posture and security infrastructure in collaboration with Compliance and Risk. * Set direction for the company’s AI strategy and oversee in-house AI initiatives and applied AI/ML use cases. * Manage enterprise networking architecture and hybrid connectivity for performance and security. * Oversee disaster recovery and business continuity planning, including objective setting and failover testing. * Lead capacity planning to scale infrastructure ahead of demand while controlling costs. * Develop and retain engineering talent; manage resourcing and promote a strong engineering culture. * Communicate technology roadmap and risks to the CEO, Board, and investors; partner with executive leadership. * Own the technology budget and balance investment with operating efficiency. Tasks * 15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience; 5+ years in a senior executive role; mortgage industry experience preferred. * Proven experience leading a software engineering organization that builds proprietary systems. * Deep expertise in Azure cloud infrastructure and SQL Server at production scale. * Track record of sustaining 99.99%+ uptime for business-critical systems. * Strong information security background and familiarity with financial services regulatory and audit expectations. * Proven experience directing AI/ML initiatives in production engineering. * Solid networking expertise for enterprise cloud and hybrid connectivity. * Experience owning DR/BC planning with failover testing. * Strong capacity planning skills; talent and resource management abilities. * Exceptional executive communication skills; able to present strategy and risk to CEO, Board, and investors.
