Job description

Experteer Overview As a Sr. Firmware Engineer, you will develop firmware to maximize our in-house server hardware. You’ll prototype concepts for networking products and drive collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver robust firmware solutions. You’ll own firmware from definition through testing, documentation, and delivery, tackling challenges across BMC, SAS expander, and IPMI-enabled components. This is a hands-on role at the intersection of hardware and software, with meaningful impact on server system reliability and performance. Compensation / Benefits * Define, develop, test, deliver and document firmware across server components * Maintain BMC, CMM and SAS expander firmware for server systems * Author firmware specifications, implement code, and debug issues * Collaborate closely with hardware design team members * Own software/firmware issues throughout planning, development, and validation stages Tasks * 8+ years of firmware development experience (preferred) * Strong programming skills in C/C++, Java * Experience in Linux OS with source control systems * Working knowledge of IPMI firmware vendors (AMI or Aten) and code structure * Capability to design and develop for IPMI firmware requirements * Knowledge of enclosure management protocol and standards * Excellent system-level debugging skills * EFI BIOS firmware knowledge a plus * Linux and Windows device driver development experience a plus Key requirements * competitive salary * comprehensive benefits package * bonus programs * equity opportunities
