Software Development Engineer, Advanced Analytics - LLD

Experteer Overview In this role you will help build the foundational infrastructure for petabyte-scale, log-level advertising data. You will work on scalable data pipelines, ETL, and APIs to empower analytics and data science teams across Amazon Ads. The role blends engineering rigor with operational excellence to deliver transparent, actionable insights into the programmatic supply chain. You’ll contribute to an advanced analytics capability that supports AI, modeling, and data solutions for strategic advertising partners. This is a greenfield, high-impact challenge at massive scale. Compensation / Benefits * Implement and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, and store petabyte-scale log-level data from multiple sources (ad servers, exchanges, SSPs) * Build ETL workflows transforming raw event-level data into analysis-ready formats * Create and maintain APIs for analytics teams to query log-level data * Implement data quality checks, validation logic, and monitoring for pipelines and services * Optimize performance and cost efficiency of data processing jobs and queries * Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews to uphold engineering standards * Collaborate with senior engineers on design discussions and architectural decisions * Debug and resolve production issues, participate in on-call rotations * Document systems, processes, and runbooks to support operational excellence Tasks * 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience * 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience * 1+ years of SDE or related occupational experience * 1+ years designing and developing large-scale distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services * 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience * Experience programming in C#, C++, Java, or Perl Key requirements * sign-on payments and RSUs * health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription) * 401(k) matching * paid time off * parential leave * comprehensive benefits
