Job description

Experteer Overview In this Senior Engineering role you will design, operate, and continuously improve cloud data and analytics platforms to enable reliable BI delivery. You’ll set platform standards, drive automation, and own production outcomes across platforms like Fabric, Snowflake, and Databricks, with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau. You’ll lead onboarding, guardrails, and reusable solutions while reducing operational toil and ensuring security and governance. This role offers impact at scale, shaping data platforms for client and internal teams and advancing the firm’s analytics capabilities. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure data products that power decision-driv Compensation / Benefits * Own the design and daily operation of cloud data platforms (architecture, access, capacity, standards, troubleshooting). * Define and enforce platform standards for naming, access, cost management, and environment separation. * Drive platform maturity by identifying gaps, proposing fixes, and implementing them proactively. * Design, build, and own CI/CD workflows for data assets, including promotion, approvals, and rollback. * Create reusable templates, checklists, and release docs for team-wide adoption. * Set deployment bar and enforce it through code reviews and automation. * Serve as technical authority for core platforms (Fabric/Snowflake/Databricks) and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau). * Lead onboarding and enablement for engineering and client teams with patterns and guardrails. * Own performance by diagnosing and resolving query, job, refresh, and capacity issues. * Design monitoring, SLOs, and runbooks; manage incident response and post-incident reviews. * Define and enforce least-privilege access and secure secret handling across environments. * Oversee data governance: PII handling, row/column security, environment separation. * Review teammates’ work for security and governance before client delivery. Tasks * Minimum 6 years in data/platform/analytics engineering or cloud operations with production ownership. * Minimum 2 years in accounting experience (implementation or direct roles). * Deep production-grade command of a cloud data platform (Snowflake preferred; Fabric or Databricks also acceptable) and fluency across others. * Strong command of BI platforms (Power BI or Tableau) including data modeling and security. * CI/CD ownership experience with Git, branching, PR discipline, and pipelines. * Scripting proficiency in Python or PowerShell. * Advanced troubleshooting and clear communication to both technical and non-technical audiences. * Strong SQL and performance skills; cloud fundamentals knowledge. * Clear technical writing for runbooks and architecture docs. * Relevant certifications (Azure, Snowflake, Databricks) are a plus. * Hands-on AI/ML/GenAI enablement experience is a strong plus.
