Job description

Be part of the Shared Services, Fraud Products team developing new capabilities for Mastercard?s Decision Management Platform, which serves as the core for multiple business solutions to combat fraud and validate cardholder identity. Our patented Java-based platform processes billions of transactions per month in tens of milliseconds using a multi-tiered, message-oriented approach for high performance and availability. ?\tWould you like to develop industry-leading solutions for fighting fraud? ?\tAre you motivated by speeding business solutions to market? ?\tDo you want to innovate using modern technologies to solve challenging business problems?

Role Be part of the Product Operations and Enablement team supporting operations across all 12 decision products in multiple non-production environments. ?\tAre you interested in helping to build solutions that help recognize and prevent payment fraud? ?\tDo you consider yourself capable of bridging the gap between technology and business?

Responsibilities ?\tProvide detailed technical analysis of product or application hardware and software to ensure business and functional requirements can be met. ?\tProvide subject matter expertise for assigned projects. ?\tPerform analysis of system requirements and elaborate them into user stories and acceptance criteria in an Agile methodology format. ?\tFacilitate scoping sessions and lead review sessions of technical requirements and user stories. ?\tSupport software development activities, including designing, building, testing, and maintaining applications using established engineering practices ?\tApply foundational software design and architecture principles to support scalable, maintainable, secure, and performant solutions. ?\tSupport unit, functional, and integration testing to validate application components, expected behaviors, and system quality. ?\tAssist in identifying and resolving technical issues, performance concerns, and operational readiness gaps using appropriate tools and guidance. ?\tFollow secure coding practices, code review standards, and operational readiness practices that support observability, reliability, and maintainability. ?\tIdentify dependencies between teams through collaboration. ?\tDemonstrate curiosity for systems and technical knowledge by continuously analyzing and improving approaches to platform support and delivery., All activities involving access to Mastercard assets, information, and networks comes with an inherent risk to the organization and, therefore, it is expected that every person working for, or on behalf of, Mastercard is responsible for information security and must:

Requirements

?\tSome experience with DevOps processes and hands-on experience with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket, or similar. ?\tFoundational understanding of software development, software design, and software architecture concepts. ?\tFoundational experience or coursework in unit testing, functional testing, integration testing, secure coding practices, code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance awareness. ?\tAbility to organize, manage, and apply data structures effectively to support application performance and efficient data access. ?\tHigh-energy, detail-oriented, and proactive with the ability to function under pressure in a collaborative Agile environment. ?\tStrong verbal and written communication skills, with strong relationship-building, collaboration, and organizational skills. ?\tPrior experience gathering technical requirements for Java backend systems and knowledge of web UIs is an added advantage.

Benefits & conditions

In line with Mastercard?s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
