Technical Consultant - Database and ETL

Job TitleSenior Database & ETL Developer (SQL Server / PL/SQL)Job OverviewWe are looking for a Senior Database Developer to manage, optimize, and modernize our data integration layer. You will take ownership of high-volume, legacy Oracle PL/SQL ETL pipelines and re-engineer or maintain them within a Microsoft SQL Server ecosystem.Key ResponsibilitiesManage Data Pipelines: Maintain and troubleshoot large-scale, business-critical ETL workflows.Convert & Code: Translate complex Oracle PL/SQL logic (packages, procedures, triggers) into SQL Server T-SQL equivalents.Optimize Performance: Tune slow-running ETL queries, index structures, and database execution plans for maximum speed.Ensure Data Integrity: Build automated data validation and error-handling routines across source and target systems.Orchestrate Batches: Configure and schedule automated data loading jobs using SSIS or SQL Server Agent.Required Skills & QualificationsSQL Server & T-SQL: 5+ years of extensive experience handling data architecture in MS SQL Server.Heavy PL/SQL Expertise: Strong foundational background writing and decoding Oracle PL/SQL scripts, packages, and materialized views.ETL Design: Hands-on experience mapping, profiling, and transforming messy, raw data sets.Tools: Proficiency with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) or equivalent enterprise ETL engines.Performance Tuning: Deep knowledge of execution plans, locking/blocking mitigation, and table partitioning.Posting Date:Department:CONS: International Banking - 1460252071
