IT Cloud Platform Engineer (CPE), Belfast A leading client is keen to recruit an IT Cloud & Platform Engineer for their Belfast team. it is an opportunity to implement highly scalable, secure, and cutting-edge, cloud-based solutions. This is a key opportunity for an Azure DevOps Engineer (for example) to assist in the design, deployment, and management of cloud infrastructure on Azure. The role will be reporting to the IT Technical Services Lead and IT Infrastructure Services Manager. As part of the IT Infrastructure Services function, you will join an agile and dynamic team, collaborate with product owners, developers, key stakeholders and data engineers. You will help to drive the design, automation and continuous improvement of the company’s platforms processes and services. The role involves: Manage and maintain the firm’s cloud services and VMware Broadcom environments across all Data Centres and offices.Deploy and create scalable cloud solutions, collaborating closely with development teams to architect and implement reliable and scalable cloud solutions using Azure servicesDesigning Cloud Architecture: Planning and developing cloud structures that meet organisation strategies, focusing on scalability, performance and security Manage and maintain the firm’s vulnerability management solutions and remediate vulnerabilities in line with the firm’s policies.Ensure that all Server infrastructure is patched in line with the firm’s patching policy and scheduling of changes.Manage and maintain Windows server environmentTroubleshoot and fix Server system application related issues, recording all troubleshooting steps and information in the IT Service Management tool.Generate system and component capacity management reports on a weekly basis and conduct trend analysis.Manage and maintain Windows Server Services, such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and certificate services.Providing advanced technical support to other department teamsEnsure all systems and services are proactively monitored using the tools utilised by the IT Department.Manage and maintain the Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution. Build and deploy Windows Servers and SAAS/PAAS solutions as required.Liaise with vendors and external partnersEnsure that all servers and services have adequate BCDR protection in place.Ensure that all servers are backed up in line with the firm’s backup policy.Support and manage the firm’s Microsoft Dynamics AX solution.Participate in the Out of Hours rota to monitor and respond to critical alerts in the network monitoring tools and any emergency escalations from the Service Desk and Management. Experience and Skills:- Ideally, you will demonstrate:Proven extensive knowledge of Azure and Entra Services adhering to best practices in Azure security including identity management access control and threat protection.Background in Infrastructure/Systems Administration/Dev Ops with knowledge of networking, monitoring, and supportProficiency coding

languagesExtensive proven working experience of maintaining vulnerability management solutions and remediating system vulnerabilities.Proven working experience for managing server infrastructure in a Data Centre environment.Strong Knowledge of Windows Server 2016 - 2022.Strong Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Windows Certificate Services.Extensive Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Azure, AWS and other cloud computing technologies.Strong team player, with time management, excellent verbal and written communication skills.Able to work independently and under pressure, as well as part of a wider team.Proven knowledge of Managing and maintaining cybersecurity products.Strong knowledge of security best practices and industry standard such as CIS and ISO27001.ITIL foundation certification or knowledge of ITIL processes.Several years’ experience in a similar role.Desirable experience:Knowledge of Azure Tools including AKS, Azure Functions, and IAC tools such
