Android Engineer

SR2 is working with a Tier 1 consultancy on a mobile build for a leading global asset manager. This is a to join a well established team dleivering best in class Android products, and we are looking for senior native Android engineers to join the delivery team.

This is the kind of build engineers actually want: real architectural decisions to own, and a clear line of sight from what you write to what ships. The client is well-known, the scope is defined, and the programme already has momentum. You will work alongside a senior consulting team in a client-facing environment where both engineering depth and professional credibility matter. What you will do

• Own Android delivery on an FS product shaping architecture and setting the standard from the first commit
• Build in modern Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, making the foundational decisions that a from-scratch build allows
• Work directly with the consulting team and client stakeholders, translating a real financial product into a clean, performant mobile experience

• Strong native Android engineering experience, fluent in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
• A track record of shipping production Android apps to a high bar on performance, testing and code quality
• Delivery into regulated financial services, wealth, pensions, investment or asset management, is a strong advantage
• Comfortable and credible in a client-facing consulting environment alongside senior stakeholders
• UK based, happy to go through BPSS clearance, available to start within the next two weeks
