Cloud Solutions Architect - Confidential Search

We are conducting a confidential search for a Cloud Solutions Architect to lead enterprise cloud strategy and architecture within a major organization. This is a high-impact, principal-level opportunity based in Manchester on a hybrid model for a senior technology leader who will design and deliver scalable, secure, multi-cloud solutions across the enterprise.

In this role, you will define and own the enterprise cloud architecture strategy across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP, ensuring alignment with business objectives and digital transformation goals. You will lead the design of cloud-native solutions including microservices, serverless, containerized architectures, and hybrid cloud environments. You will establish cloud governance frameworks, cost optimization strategies, and security best practices across all cloud workloads.

You will partner with engineering, DevOps, security, and business stakeholders to drive cloud adoption and migration programs. You will evaluate and select cloud services, tools, and platforms, and define reference architectures and reusable patterns. You will mentor and guide engineering teams on cloud-native design principles, and drive infrastructure-as-code (IaC) adoption using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.

• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments at enterprise scale
• Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, GCP Professional Cloud Architect)
• Experience with FinOps and cloud cost optimization at scale
• Knowledge of zero-trust security architecture in cloud environments
• Experience leading cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE) teams
