Overview Global Nodes is supporting Winview, a Madrid-based creative technology company, hiring the role of CTO.This is an in-office position in Madrid, Spain.All applying candidates must be fluent in Spanish and English.WinView is a growing startup within a large design agency, which gives us a unique and valuable mix: speed, ambition, and structure.Those who need constant supervision or are not transparent do not fit in.The CTO role is responsible for the company’s technology strategy and execution, ensuring the technology vision aligns with business objectives.It leads the engineering and development teams, oversees the technological infrastructure, and ensures the company uses technology efficiently to drive growth and innovation.Leadership and Technology Strategy:Define and communicate the company’s technology vision, strategy, and roadmap.Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve products, services, and operational efficiency.Stay up-to-date with industry and technology trends to ensure competitiveness.Lead, motivate, and manage the engineering, development, QA, and IT teams.Foster a culture of high performance, collaboration, and innovation.Oversee the hiring, training, and professional development of technical staff.Oversee the complete software development lifecycle, from conception to launch.Ensure the quality, scalability, security, and reliability of the technology architecture and products.Make critical decisions about the tech stack, tools, and coding standards.Operations and Budget Management:Develop and manage the technology department’s budget.Oversee IT infrastructure, data security, and regulatory compliance.Work closely with the CEO and other executive leaders to align technology strategy with business goals.Communicate technology risks, opportunities, and progress to the board of directors and stakeholders.Technical English, written and oral, at a fluent or native level.University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience in a technology leadership role (CTO, VP of Engineering, etc.) Practical experience in software development and scalable systems architecture.Experience in Cloud architecture and familiar with Azure.Solid knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and manage technological change.Intensive work schedule on Fridays and during the summer.Mainly in-person role, with flexibility for 1-2 remote days depending on the arrangement.Real impact and economic growth tied to the project’s successA project as big as the people who build it#
