Senior Data Platform Engineer at BairesDev We’re looking for a Senior Data Platform Engineer who writes Java and has built the kind of distributed data infrastructure that large-scale analytics and processing workloads actually depend on. You’ve worked with Spark or similar frameworks, you understand how data platforms behave in Kubernetes-native cloud environments, and you know what it takes to keep them running reliably under pressure. You’ll be contributing to open source data platform technology used by leading enterprises worldwide to process and manage data at scale. What You’ll Do Build and maintain data platform components in Java that support large-scale distributed Spark workloads. Design and optimize data processing pipelines running in Kubernetes-native cloud environments. Work on platform reliability, observability, and performance across distributed data infrastructure. Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues in data platform components. Collaborate with data engineering and platform teams to deliver high-quality platform features. Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, and platform engineering standards. What We Are Looking For 5+ years of experience in IT roles. 3+ years of experience with Java as a primary language in data platform or distributed systems contexts. Hands-on experience with Apache Spark or similar distributed data processing frameworks. Solid foundation in distributed systems design and operation.
