Job description

Purpose of the Position: The Data Science Analyst is responsible for both designing and developing our data architecture and performing data analysis to support business decision-making. This role encompasses the end-to-end process of data collection, transformation, storage, and analysis. The Data Science Analyst will work with departments across the organization to provide data solutions to our internal teams, ensuring data is reliable, accessible, and actionable, driving insights and strategic initiatives throughout the organization. They will also assist in deploying special projects for the other departments as requested., * Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to support data reporting and dashboards.

  • Organize, model, and store raw data in our data warehouse and data lake.
  • Analyze and interpret data using statistical methods and tools.
  • Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Ensure the reliability, efficiency, and quality of data by developing and implementing processes for data cleaning, transformation, and validation.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions., * Minimum of 6+ years of experience with data analysis, interpretation, and visualization; or Bachelor’s degree, with 2+ years of experience with data analysis, interpretation, and visualization, required. McLeod experience can be substituted on a year for year basis.
  • Experience with Enterprise Software or the Transportation and Logistics industry is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Working knowledge of at least one major programming language (ex. Python, C#, Java, Scala), required. Proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, etc.), required. Familiarity with “Big Data” technologies and tools (Delta Lake, Spark, Databricks), required.
  • Experience and knowledge of SQL and relational databases, highly preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in schema design, data modeling, and data analysis, preferred.
  • Familiarity with Data orchestration tooling (Dagster, Airflow, Prefect, etc.), preferred.
  • Certifications in Azure, PowerBI, Data Analytics, or Data Engineering is desirable.
