Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Platform Engineer with deep expertise in App Engine development, platform optimization, and CI/CD automation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing scalable applications, managing integrations, and ensuring platform reliability and governance across multiple environments., * Design, develop, and deliver scoped applications on ServiceNow App Engine, including data models, ACLs, and Scripted REST APIs.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, establish branching strategies, and manage instance migrations to support agile development.
- Create reusable integrations using Integration Hub and ensure consistent data flow across enterprise systems.
- Optimize platform performance, including indexes, queries, and caching strategies, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Set up and enforce platform guardrails, conduct Instance and Health Scans, and ensure best practices are followed.
- Collaborate with developers, administrators, and stakeholders to ensure platform scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Provide technical leadership in solution design, troubleshooting, and environment governance.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow platform engineering and architecture.
- Proven expertise in ServiceNow App Engine with strong data model and ACL design capabilities.
- Proficiency in building and securing Scripted REST APIs and integrating via Integration Hub.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD setup (e.g., Jenkins, Git, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps).
- In-depth knowledge of instance performance tuning, cache management, and query optimization.
- Experience conducting Health Scans and applying ServiceNow best practices for governance.
- Strong understanding of ITSM, ITOM, or custom application frameworks within ServiceNow.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS).
- Familiarity with Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and Automated Test Framework (ATF).
- Experience in establishing DevOps pipelines for ServiceNow., Agile Programming Methodologies, Application Framework, Application Integration, Application Programming Interface (API), Automation, Best Practices, CAD (Computer-Aided Design) Software, Caching, Continuous Deployment/Delivery, Continuous Improvement, Continuous Integration, Customer Experience, Customer Support/Service, Data Modeling, DevOps, Exceeded Sales Goal, Git, GitHub, Google App Engine (GAE), IT Service Management (ITSM), Identify Issues, Jenkins, Microsoft Windows Azure, Operations Management, Performance Tuning/Optimization, Query Optimization, REST (Representational State Transfer), Scripting (Scripting Languages), ServiceNow, Software Design, Software Development, Strategic Planning, Systems Administration/Management, Technical Leadership, Technical Support, Test Harness
