Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced Data Reporting Officer with deep wholesale lending and regulatory reporting expertise to oversee FR Y-14Q Schedule H.1 (Corporate Loans) and H.2 (Commercial Real Estate) reporting and drive the successful execution of key regulatory initiatives. This role will partner across Wholesale Banking, Risk, Finance, Data, and Technology to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant regulatory submissions aligned with Federal Reserve requirements., * Lead end-to-end delivery of FR Y-14Q Schedule H.1 (Corporate Loans) and H.2 (Commercial Real Estate) reporting, including quarterly submissions, issue management, and ongoing regulatory change implementation.

  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for Y-14Q wholesale lending reporting requirements, including corporate, commercial, commercial real estate, and specialized lending portfolios.
  • Interpret Federal Reserve reporting instructions and translate regulatory requirements into business, data, and technology solutions.
  • Define and validate data sourcing, transformations, business rules, and calculation logic supporting H.1 and H.2 reporting, ensuring alignment with reporting instructions and internal credit policies.
  • Partner with Wholesale Banking, Risk, Finance, Loan Operations, Data Management, and Technology teams to resolve reporting issues and improve data quality.
  • Lead requirements gathering workshops and stakeholder discussions to support regulatory reporting enhancements, new data requirements, and remediation initiatives.
  • Perform detailed analysis of large wholesale lending datasets, including loan commitments, utilizations, risk ratings, collateral, guarantor information, borrower financials, covenant data, and default classifications to identify trends, anomalies, and data quality concerns.
  • Ensure completeness, accuracy, and integrity of reported data through reconciliations, validations, control execution, and root cause analysis activities.
  • Conduct data lineage reviews to trace reported attributes from source systems through regulatory reporting processes and identify opportunities for control enhancements.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive business requirements, process flows, reporting specifications, data definitions, control documentation, and regulatory reporting procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with business units, finance, accounting policy, credit risk, model risk management, internal audit, external auditors, regulators, and examination teams to support reporting accuracy and governance objectives.
  • Stay current on Federal Reserve guidance, CCAR/Y-14 reporting requirements, wholesale lending regulatory developments, and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate processes, improve controls, enhance data governance, and increase operational efficiency across the wholesale regulatory reporting environment.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) strategy, test case development, defect resolution, and implementation validation for system changes impacting Y-14Q H.1 and H.2 reporting.
  • Provide expertise on commercial credit underwriting, risk rating methodologies, collateral valuation practices, borrower and guarantor relationships, and loan lifecycle events to support accurate regulatory reporting outcomes.
  • Support governance forums, regulatory exams, and internal reviews by preparing reporting analyses, issue summaries, and responses to stakeholder inquiries regarding wholesale loan reporting.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess strong wholesale lending expertise with a deep understanding of commercial and corporate credit products, commercial real estate lending, underwriting practices, risk rating frameworks, collateral and guarantor structures, borrower financial analysis, and credit facility lifecycle management.

Experience working with large corporate, middle market, commercial real estate, and specialized lending portfolios is highly desirable.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to interpret complex regulatory reporting requirements and translate them into business and data solutions.

They will have experience analyzing loan-level data attributes, credit agreement terms, covenant structures, obligor relationships, collateral positions, risk ratings, commitments, utilization, and default classifications to support regulatory reporting and data quality initiatives.

The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to collaborate effectively with credit risk managers, portfolio managers, loan operations, and technology teams, and experience leading regulatory change initiatives affecting wholesale lending portfolios.

Knowledge of FR Y-14Q reporting requirements, CCAR processes, commercial credit risk management practices, and wholesale lending data environments is strongly preferred., The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.   • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent education and related training.
  • Ten years of work experience in access enterprise databases (Netezza, Oracle, DB2) and report development.
  • Ten years of experience in SAS and/or SQL programming.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in reading, interpreting and writing detailed SAS/SQL statements.
  • Proven experience writing detailed technical reporting requirements and communicating with developers and business users.
  • Experience in regulatory or SEC reporting with extensive experience in CCAR reporting.
  • Experience with SAP, Hyperion Reporting and GL Master Data.
  • Advanced Excel / VBA skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, with the ability to define problems and persuasively present conclusions.
