Job description

Experteer Overview As a Systems Engineer with HII Mission Technologies, you will lead the design, integration, and sustainment of the Tactical Windows Baseline for multi-domain environments. You will work with cross-functional teams to define specs, secure device baselines, and integrate Windows with Android, iOS, and Linux in a hybrid EUD ecosystem. You will collaborate with security teams to address vulnerabilities and harden the environment, delivering secure, maintainable solutions. This role blends hands-on engineering with strategic guidance to enable mission-focused outcomes. Compensation / Benefits * Serve as the technical authority for design, integration, and sustainment of the Tactical Windows Baseline * Define and maintain standardized specifications and Group Policy Objects (GPOs) for the tactical environment * Establish secure device baselines and architect hypervisor/virtualized environments (Type-1/Type-2, secure nested) * Sustain a hybrid End User Device (EUD) ecosystem integrating Windows with Android, iOS, and Linux * Collaborate with penetration testers and offensive security teams to patch and harden baselines * Provide technical support across the lifecycle: research, specs, testing, and documentation * Coordinate with engineers and stakeholders to elicit requirements and validate designs * Develop technical documentation including designs, requirements, and specifications * Guide and mentor team members, manage project scope, and drive risk management * Oversee service lifecycle activities, cyber compliance, and RMF-related readiness * Lead reviews and corrective actions for security architecture and system design * Contribute inputs to development teams for upgrading legacy systems and new products * Ensure best practices in software engineering, system/security engineering, and secure testing * Manage product backlog and capability roadmaps * Support DoD/EUD deployment across global, distributed architectures * Provide end-user and tier-3 support as needed * Stay current with industry trends, security vulnerabilities, and best practices * Advocate for services to improve value, adoption, and stakeholder satisfaction Tasks * 9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s in a related field (or 7 years with a Master’s or 4 years with a PhD/JD) * Active Secret security clearance (within five years) and ability to obtain TS/SCI * IAT Level 2 Certification * DoD IT project experience (minimum 8 years) * Proficiency with Windows 11, Linux, Ubuntu, Red Hat, iOS, Android * Experience configuring virtualized clients and provisioning devices * Tier-2 and Tier-3 support experience; strong testing/troubleshooting skills * Knowledge of SE best practices across software and security engineering * Experience with DoD RMF processes and cybersecurity compliance * Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work independently and in teams Key requirements * best-in-class medical,dental and vision plan * wellness resources * 401(k) Savings Plan * life insurance * paid holidays and PTO * tuition reimbursement and scholarships
