Junior Software Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you will build scalable backend software in Java for ADT customers, shaping how AI and automation are integrated into products and workflows. You will collaborate with product, UX, and fellow engineers to turn ideas into production-ready code and design scalable systems. You’ll work on AI-enabled features, from analyzing video streams to generating ML-driven reports, while ensuring stability and performance in production. This is an opportunity to impact how AI assists customers and how engineering teams operate at scale. Compensation / Benefits * Collaborate with Product, UX, and engineers to deliver scalable, production-ready backend features * Design and develop internal (and potentially customer-facing) agents to automate processes * Integrate multi-modal models into the product pipeline for AI-driven insights and automation * Design systems emphasizing scalability, performance, and storage * Work with QA to implement automated validation of features * Troubleshoot issues across environments and maintain production stability * Estimate effort for new projects * Adhere to software development lifecycle and coding standards Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience) * Strong experience with Java backend development * Experience building React web and/or mobile applications * Comfort with AI-assisted development environments (Cursor, Claude, MCPs, feedback loops) * Ability to write clean, readable code independently * Solid understanding of system architecture and design * Experience with web services (REST and/or WebSockets) * Experience with data storage systems: SQL, Key-value stores, Document databases * Experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP) * Proficiency with Git version control Key requirements *
