Experteer Overview In this role you will design and refine model-based control solutions for gas turbine engines, collaborating with engineers across programs. You will build predictive control and FDIA algorithms, create dynamic engine models, and drive verification across development, testing, and in-service phases. You’ll mentor teammates and contribute to standards for control law development, aiming to improve performance and reliability. This position sits at the intersection of advanced modeling, control theory, and mission-critical defense applications. Compensation / Benefits * Plan and develop model predictive control and parameter estimation algorithms for engine programs * Develop engine, actuation, and fuel system dynamic models for control law requirements * Create model-based sensor/actuator fault detection, isolation, and accommodation algorithms * Collaborate with internal customers to identify control law improvements * Develop and improve processes and standards for validation of control laws and FDIA * Provide technical review and oversight of algorithm design and analysis * Lead root-cause analysis for emerging algorithm issues across lifecycle * Develop and update control law training materials and mentor team members Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in STEM * 8 years of engineering experience or 5 years with an advanced degree * Experience in physics-based modeling of turbo-machinery components and integration into system models (MS preferred) * Modelica modeling language experience * Strong background in multivariable control, MPC, estimation, and stability analysis * Excellent communication and teamwork skills Key requirements * Relocation Assistance * medical, dental, vision * 401(k) match * flexible spending accounts * flexible work schedules * Employee Scholar Program
