Job description

Experteer Overview In this early-career role you will help build, operate, and improve cloud data/analytics platforms while supporting BI delivery. You’ll work on platform reliability, CI/CD, and runbooks, learning security, governance, and deployment automation from senior engineers. The position sits within a collaborative, growth-minded accounting and consulting company known for supporting employee development. You’ll influence how data platforms scale and govern workloads in a real-world business context. Compensation / Benefits * Support day-to-day operations for cloud data platforms (workspace setup, access requests, basic configuration, troubleshooting) * Assist with platform hygiene: organizing environments, documenting standards, improving repeatability * Help implement guardrails (naming/tagging conventions, access patterns, cost awareness) * Contribute to CI/CD workflows for data/analytics assets (pipelines, jobs, semantic models, reports) * Maintain reusable deployment templates and checklists (approvals, promotion steps, rollback notes, release docs) * Assist teams with onboarding across core platforms (Fabric/Snowflake/Databricks) and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau) * Support basic performance triage and escalate as needed (query failures, refresh issues, capacity) * Help build and maintain runbooks and participate in incident response and preventative improvements * Follow and reinforce least-privilege access and secure secret handling; assist with data governance basics Tasks * Minimum 2 years in a data/platform/analytics engineering or cloud operations role (internships count) * Minimum 1 year of representative accounting experience or direct accounting systems exposure * Familiarity with a cloud data platform (Snowflake preferred; Fabric or Databricks acceptable) * Experience with a BI platform (Power BI or Tableau) * Understanding of CI/CD concepts (Git, branching/PRs, basic pipelines) * Basic scripting in Python or PowerShell (or willingness to learn) * Strong troubleshooting mindset and ability to document learnings * Exposure to cloud concepts (identity/access, logging/monitoring) * Familiarity with SQL and performance basics * Understanding of data governance concepts (PII, RLS/CLS, environment separation) * Any relevant certs (Azure fundamentals, Snowflake, Databricks) * Experience with AI/ML/GenAI enablement (model lifecycle, AI search, Azure OpenAI, or MLOps) Key requirements * Medical, dental, vision * Generous PTO plan and paid sick time * Flexible work arrangements * 401K with Profit Sharing * Wellness program * Generous parental leave
