Systems Engineer, Sr. Staff

Experteer Overview In this role, you will help design and integrate unmanned systems for defense and commercial use, collaborating with the Design team and Controls Engineers to define architectures and drive simulation models. You’ll navigate multiple development stages-from requirements through validation-balancing engineering, software, and mathematical methods. You will influence architecture across products and mentor others while tackling complex, cross-disciplinary challenges. Compensation / Benefits * Manage requirements traceability and evolution throughout the system development cycle * Provide weekly progress updates and burn-down of requirements * Allocate requirements to subsystems and coordinate engineering efforts * Evaluate performance thresholds and provide direction * Develop instrumented flight test vectors and data acquisition * Contribute to model development and simulation analysis * Create system test plans, procedures and reports * Interpret customer specifications effectively * Identify and resolve design weaknesses; influence future product architecture * Tackle significant issues requiring evaluation of intangibles * Operate independently on new or special assignments * Mentor teammates on technical discipline and company values * Perform other duties as assigned Tasks * Bachelors in Mathematics, Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering * 12-15 years in a systems engineering role (Aerospace preferred) * Proficiency with C/C++ and Matlab * Experience with requirements traceability and lifecycle management * Experience in writing system safety protocols and field-test safety * Strong Matlab skills and proficiency with office software * Familiarity with electronics and image-related systems * Ability to create architectures using Model Based Engineering tools Key requirements * medical, dental, vision * 401K with company matching * 9/80 work schedule * paid holiday shutdown
