Data Engineer/Analyst

Insight Global is looking for a Data Engineer/Analyst to joining an existing team with a client within the Financial Industry. This person will be responsible for working within an AWS data lake environment utilizing PowerBI and AI to convert data into insights and reports. This person will be parterning with the Product Owners and Business users and will be expected to drive decisions and determine what needs to be done and how to do it. This position is not for someone who is used to getting tasks and to do lists handed to them. Candidate must come from an AWS background and have some engineering experience. Basic/intermediate coding experience with Python is needed as well as hands on experience with SQL.

• 5-10 years experience with Data Analysis and Engineering
• AWS data engineering background
• Experience with the AWS serivices from an engineering perspective
• PowerBI and Tableau experience
• Strong understanding of data modeling
• Experience converting data to generate reports and insights (MVCS and POCs)
• Hands on experience working will AWS data lakes
• Intermediate experience with Python development
• SQL
• Experience partnering with POs and business users to make decisions and drive insights
