Job description

Insight Global is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst for a top government services client. This individual will play a critical role in monitoring and defending enterprise systems against cyber threats in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment. The analyst will leverage advanced security tools and threat intelligence to detect, investigate, and respond to incidents while collaborating closely with a skilled cyber team. This is an excellent opportunity for cleared cyber professionals looking to gain hands-on experience in threat assessment, incident response, and DoD-focused security operations.

  • Monitor, detect, and respond to cyber security alerts
  • Analyze threats using enterprise cyber security tools
  • Review logs, tool outputs, and intelligence sources
  • Investigate security events and follow escalation procedures
  • Identify trends, patterns, and attacker tactics
  • Recommend security improvements and mitigation strategies
  • Assist with incident response and system recovery efforts
  • Prepare reports and security documentation
  • Collaborate with team members to rapidly restore operations and limit impact

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Experience supporting DoD information systems
  • Ability to support 24/7 shift work operations
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification
  • DoD 8570 CSSP Analyst certification
  • One or more of the following certifications: o GSEC o CompTIA Security+ o SCNP o SSCP o CAP o GSLC o CISM o CISSP

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

  • Experience with DoD STIGs, SRGs, and hardening guidance
  • Knowledge of ESS, ACAS, and DoD SIEM platforms
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification
