Job description

Responsible for designing and implementing data analysis and reporting solutions for healthcare organizations.

The Senior Business Intelligence Developer works with stakeholders to identify data needs, develop data models, and build and maintain reporting systems. Responsible for ensuring that data is accurate, timely, and accessible to support business decisions and improve patient outcomes.

What You’ll Do

  • Work with end users, analysts, technical staff, and project team members to plan, design, develop, implement, and enhance business analytics capabilities using Tableau’s Business Intelligence tools.
  • Create intuitive, stunning visuals of hospital data to help staff at all levels identify areas of opportunity and where objectives have been achieved.
  • Construct and maintain an appropriate, scalable, and easy-to-use Tableau infrastructure to support the development of actionable reports for decision-making across the hospital.
  • Develop and maintain standards pursuant to the company’s reporting architecture, report documents, dashboards, cubes, and other reporting development practices.
  • Serve as project manager resource for relevant analytics projects, including meeting facilitation, resource management, and stakeholder expectation setting.
  • Create and/or perform peer review of Business Intelligence reports from other BI developers and analysts to ensure that all code and reports conform to standards and guidelines.
  • Develop and enforce change management and versioning processes surrounding new releases of dashboards and evaluate and recommend new tools and methodologies to assist with change and version management.
  • Provide training and mentorship to team, and end-users on key analytic and reporting systems and databases when necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science required or Bachelor’s Degree Information Systems required
  • Can this role review and consider experience in lieu of a degree? Yes

  • Expertise in business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ETL leading practices. *

  • Familiarity with data integration techniques and tools (e.g., SSIS, Informatica, Talend).
  • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, R) and statistical analysis techniques is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Proficient communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and present complex data insights in a clear and concise manner.
