Senior Software Engineer

Experteer Overview As a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) you will design, build, and deliver AI-powered, enterprise-grade systems in the Forward Engineering team. You will work closely with senior leaders to optimize business processes through scalable AI solutions and embedding within business units. You will shape technical standards, lead architecture decisions, and mentor colleagues, while driving AI-first transformation across TR. This role combines hands-on development with strategic leadership in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. Compensation / Benefits * Design, build, and prototype enterprise-scale AI-driven systems * Define technical standards and best practices for rapid prototyping * Develop front-ends with React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS * Develop back-ends with Python, FastAPI, Pydantic, and cloud infrastructure; API design, data modeling, AI service integration * Contribute to stack-wide technical design decisions (architecture, API design, integration patterns) * Lead technical architecture decisions and translate business requirements into technical specs * Mentor engineers and drive technical growth * Act as a senior thought leader in executive forums and internal events * Lead cross-functional project leadership, scoping timelines and guiding engineers * Embed with prioritized business units to build domain expertise and stakeholder relationships * Partner with business leaders, SMEs, and product teams to co-create solutions and drive adoption * Document solutions and architectural decisions for knowledge transfer and capability building Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience; Master’s preferred * 3+ years of hands-on full-stack software engineering experience * Strong leadership experience as an IC driving technical initiatives * Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills * Experience with AWS or Azure in production environments; cloud orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CloudFormation) * Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) * Proficiency in Python and working with AI systems; familiarity with LLMs, AI agents, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, PyTorch, TensorFlow * Experience designing REST/GraphQL APIs and working with SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB, CosmosDB) * Security and authentication patterns (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect); secrets management * Knowledge of vector databases and RAG patterns * Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS/SNS, Service Bus) and serverless (Lambda, Functions) * Observability and quality tooling experience (Datadog, New Relic, OpenTelemetry) * Familiarity with testing strategies (unit, integration, e2e) Key requirements * Hybrid Work Model * flexible work arrangements * flexible vacation * two company-wide Mental Health Days * retirement savings * tuition reimbursement
